FAQ
Are these solid wood cabinet doors?
No. These are semi-custom, budget-friendly refacing doors made of furniture-grade MDF (engineered wood) with a heat- and water-resistant laminate finish, built to your sizes. Woodgrain colors are a printed laminate. They are a value-focused way to update a kitchen, not a high-end solid-wood or fully custom door.
What is a cabinet refacing kit?
A cabinet refacing kit replaces the doors and drawer fronts on your existing cabinet boxes instead of tearing out the whole kitchen. Our Qwikkit kits are made to your exact sizes and include pre-bored hinges, pulls or knobs, screws, bumpers, locator jigs and video instructions.
How much does a cabinet refacing kit cost?
Doors and end panels start at $53.16 each and drawer fronts at $18.76 each, with standard hinges and bar pulls included. Parts longer than 43 inches count as two. Delivery is $5.00 per part. Build your kit above to see your exact price.
How do I measure my cabinet doors?
Measure each existing door and drawer front edge to edge, width first, then height, to the nearest 1/16 inch. If a cabinet has no door, measure the opening and add your overlay on each side. Note which side the hinges are on.
Will the doors fit framed and frameless cabinets?
Yes. Choose framed (face-frame) or frameless (European) cabinets when you build your kit and we supply the matching 6-way adjustable hinges, soft close or standard.
How long does a cabinet refacing kit take to arrive?
Every kit is made to order in Houston, Texas. Most kits ship in about one to two weeks.
Do I have to paint my cabinet boxes?
You can add color-matched paint for your cabinet boxes and trim when you build your kit, $15 a quart in any color. Primed "Paint Ready" doors are also available if you want to paint everything a custom color.
What warranty comes with the kit?
Qwikkit offers a 30-day satisfaction refund after installation, free replacement of any part that fails or delaminates in normal use for six years, and a lifetime warranty on hinges and hardware.
Can I save a quote and order later?
Yes. Choose "Save as a quote" in the order summary. We email you a link to reopen or order it, and account holders also find quotes under My Account, Saved quotes.
